Andromeda.

If for some reason I had to pick something else, probably a Matrix 12.

If it had to be a mono, then a Voyager.

synthaholic, i'd just look hard n persistent and find a less than perfectly cosmetic Jupiter8 and buy it for under 3K. 8)

other than that Andromeda.

Actually the Teleharmonium was completely polyphonic I believe. And going by the method of tone generation it probably sounded closer to a Hammond tonewheel organ more than a synth, although I guess we'll never know for sure.

The Tellharmonium was polyphonic, but it went out of tune if you played more than one note. So you would have to transpose to have polyphony.

And I would get either a Poly Evolver Keyboard or a V Synth GT. It depends on what music I am making and who I am making it with.

I would say JP8 cause it's my dream, but in Europe they are paid 3k ... € !!!!!

...but there's no CS-80 for max. $3000...so I'd be crying.

To choose one I'd say: ELKA Synthex; great sound, great features, great tuning stability.

And btw: the Synthex uses DCO's but still sounds like a real VCO analog. If I had to choose a VCO one, I'd say the Roland Jupiter-8 if you want polyphony, or a MOOG Minimoog (Model D) for monophony.

These days I doubt you can even buy an empty JP-8 shell for under 3K.

Someone said V-Synth GT... it not be analog.

I think my top choices right now are MKS-80 or Andromeda. The wife would never let an Andromeda in the house though.

I have an Xpander and I want more voices.
Have an Andromeda and it's OK but not great.
Heard the Prophet 08 and thought it totally missed the mark.

Matrix 12 for sure.....Buchla 200E if the price limit wasn't an issue.

Many people say Matrix-12...here in sweden they go for way more than a JP-8. I paid 1400 euros for my JP two years ago.
