Factor in a $600 cheapo RT flight from Paris to NYC. You can crash at my place to save on accommodations.

Probably very little difference from what I have now (MEK, LP, Virus Indigo)
Digital - Access Virus C (I’m guessing around $1200-1300?)
Hybrid - Dave Smith PEK ($2400)
Pre 90s - Moog Source with extra memory + midi ($1300?)

Prices on used items are guesses but I’m probably right around full budget if I get nice stuff.

Those rules pretty much mandate one of the Evolver series as one of the synths, or some older, more obscure hybrid analog/digital.

I wouldn't even want to try and piece together a setup with those criteria. Too much math, makes my head hurt. ;)

Two VCO: thanks to the push rods, one can choose several forms of waves at the same time!

No. ;) You will not be given your imaginary internet dollars until you've shown a fully compliant budget.
MrFrodo wrote:Beyond what I've already got, I'd take the Yamaha Motif XS8 (w/ a couple of expansion boards), the DSI P08 Tabletop and an Opus 3 - if you can get them for less than 5 grand.
a) You have to show your working or you don't get any marks
b) Digital/analogue hybrid

Johnny: I'm surprised your reading comprehension isn't up there, aren't you supposed to be an academic or something? :)

Drummy: Good pickup.

I'm pretty disappointed I'm the only one who's gone for the prime number total so far, I expected more from you guys.

Well you pretty much broke your own rule with those two synths. The PPG Wave & OSCar and pushing that limit, too.
