It didn't at the time.

It did when I sold it for 50 quid though.

Picked up a Virus A for $50 off my old internship! I was there for a long time, unpaid for the most part, so it was really nice of them.

 That's got to be a contender for the best deal of all time.

I guess the cheapest thing I've gotten was a Casio HT-3000 I traded a Yamaha DJXII for. I liked the casio at first, the filters were good, but I lost interest and it's in my closet now.

Yamaha distributer in Dublin, called Danfay, were fantastic to me over the years. As of last year they are gone, but over time I became friends with a gentleman who ran Danfay's high-street Yamaha shop, now retired, called Robbie Preston, and he was fantastic to me:

- New VL1 Version 2 for £800 - when it first came out (and RRP £3900). Essentially, it was given free to U2 at the time by Yamaha to use on an albums, and when they were finished with it they gave it back to Danfay; and since it was essentially free, he sold it to me for what I could afford at the time which was £800. It was in mint condition and I still use it all the time - a truly exquisite instrument.

- New (ex demo but barely touched) Yamaha CS40M for £250

- Only three years ago, three new, boxed Yamaha CS01-II's and a CS01 (four in total) for £100 (all found in their warehouse during a cleaning).

- A mint condition Yamaha CP35 for £50

I picked up a casio sk1 for $5 a few weeks ago at value village. In April I got a tr707 for $175, and in February I got a Jupiter 4 for $100 that needed $15 in parts to get working. Oh, and in July I picked up a tr808 in perfect working condition for $650! Sometimes it pays to be patient :)

Congrats man, A 115.00 for a Jupiter 4? Thats quite a cool little piece of tech, and quite a find man. Like you said Paitence is key, thanks for postin on the thread, and have a good one, and good luck on finding more little treasures.
