Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?
I just scored a Korg 01/W Pro X from a church in New Hampshire. They put on a Good Friday service every year and I've played this particular synth every year I've been involved. Later, I found out that I'm the only one that ever plays it, and as myself and the worship pastor were moving it off the stage he tells me to just take it home. Total Godsend.
Waveforms, and filters, and knobs. Oh my!

Minimoog for about £5 best synth i ever got for under a tenner!!
Best drum machine for under a tenner was the Linn LM1... £2 or £3
Hard to say exactly what it cost as it came with a Honer clavinet and a fender rhodes piano all for around £10 total

Good to see this thread back
Scored a JX3p plus PG200 for equivalent of 180 UKP last week. Also a Roland Juno 60 for a good price a few weeks back, and a Wurly EP200a with legs/ pedal/ music stand for 500 UKP in August. Very happy with all three deals!

I agree, but I still think you got an amazing deal with the M3R. I love that box, every time I turn it on I want to score a nature documentary!rap and country wrote:i bought an m3r for $50!

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?
Not a synthesizer, and most of you probably remember, but I got two brand new APC 40's for $2 each in August
I got a Kawai K5 Keyboard and rack mount version for free from the same guy. They're both in good condition. I got a free Stylophone. Ensoniq Mirage for $65. Perfect condition TOM for $24.
My BitOne was $200, but I feel I got a good deal on it.

Never gotten a synth for free, but I own two Hammond B3 organs (one a 1958 and the other a 1974 that came with a Leslie 122) that I got for nothing.
Cheapest synth I ever bought was Alchemy (does that count?) for $249. Worth every penny.

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?
My first 2 synths were bought a few days apart last winter:
Roland D-50: 220$ CAD (with anvil case)
Roland JX-3P: 125$ CAD (with original Roland case, as it was the 1st owner)
A good way to start, from my point of view! I got the PG programmer for each later, but for a lot more than the synths themselves...

-Chamber of Sounds Jupiter III (mk1) & Jupiter T (mk1)
