Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?
I once had a guy pay me $50.00 to haul away 2 CS-80's and a Mini Moog that had been taking up space in his spare bedroom. The Mini Moog was still in its original shipping carton and had never been opened and one of the CS-80's had the protective plastic covering the front panel......
OK, not really. Here's a true story that's almost as good. I know a guy who bought a house and when he cleaned out the garage there was a Mini Moog sitting in a corner with a bunch of junk piled up around it.
The guy who sold him the house asked if he wanted him to go ahead and throw away "all that c**p in the grage" but he said not to bother, he'd take care of it.

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?
Mine was my good old Roland JX-3P, got it for a trade for my Yamaha MM6. Best thing I've done all year, really. Technically, then, I got my JX-3P for free (well, I had to pay $20 to make them take my MM6).

I can't compete with most of these deals, but...
I picked up a very clean DW8000 for $100 earlier this year on ebay nonetheless. It's sitting under my bed right now. I need to clear a spot for it, or break down and buy a third stand already. Soon, I'll be totally surrounded.

Just bought a Roland SH-7 in fantastic shape locally for 1k today. So much for paring down the vintage stuff.

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?
Years ago, I called a guy about a Six Trak he was selling for $100. After deciding I wanted it, we got to talking about digital vs analog and stuff. After a few minutes he says, "Hey. I've got this old Radio Shack synth sitting in the closet. you want it? Here, I'll just give it to ya."
Two minutes later, I walking out with a Six Trak and an MG-1 for $100.
