Since my first post in this thread 3 years (and 6 pages) ago, I got even more stuff locally (mostly Roland):
RS-09 for $100, from the original owner and a copy of the 30 year old purchasing bill!
MKS-50 for $125 (the original 2 prongs power cord was missing, so another one was unelegantly fixed permanently inside through a dent in the metal casing)
JP-8080 for $360 (not the cheapest, but a very good bargain!)
M-VS1 for $30.
MKS-70 + M64-C cartridge for $200 [last week!]
And a few A-880 midi patchbay from $30 to $50 each.
I also got a Yamaha CS1X and a Emu Vintage Keys for $100 each. Didn't like them, so I quickly sold them back. I usually keep things around just in case, but both didn't feel right to me for whatever reason. Could have made 100% profit on the Vintage Keys if I had know how hard they are to find out!
I thought I could score a TR-909 on the very cheap at a studio sale recently, because everything was priced on the low down and I found the original owner's manual in the bin with all the other papers. But no sign of the unit itself, to my despair! The lady in charge told me there was a theft in the studio a couple years ago, so I presume it disappeared then... I have the serial number in case it pops out somewhere.
