Has anyone thought about making a clone of the Novation Drum

I would love to see Novation make a drum box with a sequencer. They could make it part USB controller / part hardware drum box to stay with their current product style.

Other than the poopy output levels and the low polyphony I haven't had any issues. I wonder if the system upgrade fixes these two issues. I have a real 808 and the Drumstation comes pretty close.

I made a Cubase device panel for the Drumstation, so I could control/automate it from within Cubase.

As for the power, I have not had any problems, make sure the plug on the end of the power supply is correct (the wrong one can still work but can also lose contact) I use a little low voltage in-line switch box that just plugs in between the adapter and the Drumstation to turn it on and off.
