Well, as moderator, I'm cutting Moog some slack on this one and allowing it, so there!
By the way, with regards to my justifications being ridiculous
, this page might help:

That's what I thought I said a few posts up, Marc - I haven't tried to deny this is Off Topic. Similarly, other non-synth instruments are allowed in General Synths which have as much in common with synths as as this guitar does. Talk of MIDI controllers is allowed on here - are they synths? We've had talk of the old Roland Synth Guitars in here in the past - they're not synthesisers either. I could go on, but I would just be being pedantic.
The fact that people are into it, and the fact that it has a Moog label on it, and the fact that it has a filter in it mean nothing as justification.
To you, perhaps.
There are plenty of threads which have such abstract connections to synths which are deleted or moved for being off topic... often with condemnation. The point is, it's funny that a guitar thread is not off topic, and it's funny that the hard-and-fast rules are not so hard-and-fast. And, yes... that point has been made, addressed by mods, etc... now we can move on to further discussing the one guitar that isn't off-topic on VSE.
This thread stays. If you have issues with this, please post them in Off Topic because General Synths is even less a place for them than the Moog Guitar. If you feel really strongly about this one
subject being in General Synths, PM the admin, Vintagesynth.
I've already explained to you that the 'rules' have been bent just because it's from Moog (stone the crows - an exception has been made!!). I felt that it was too interesting a subject to be washed away in Off Topic. Yes, it is Off Topic - nobody has denied it.
Now please, stop derailing the thread and get off your soapbox, Marc, because my high horse is a lot taller. What you're doing is no
different to a lot of the behaviour that you are lambasting.
Right then, my advice, is that if people don't like this thread, to stay out of it - I was prepared to allow a bit of banter in this thread, but it's turning into another mod-bashing session and I'm not putting up with it.
Unless it's Moog Guitar-related, do NOT post in this thread.
