MIDI -> CV Interface

What MIDI -> CV Interface are you using with your analog synths? Do you use one at all?

If you use something not listed, or use a device like a Waldorf Pulse Plus, Novation BassStation, or FutureRetro Mobius to do MIDI -> CV/Gate, please select "Other" and tell us about it.

I use an Encore Expressionist. What about you?

wondering,
Ian

Kenton Pro Solo, but also Pro2 with Hz/V board fitted, and a Groove M2CV.

Spent half an hour or more tuning the damn Pro-2's B channel this afternoon. That was fun. The new units are much easier to handle.

The Groove is functional, but outmoded. Good as a backup. The Pro Solo takes my vote for functionality and simplicity of use, despite being a little more expensive than some others. Good, solid unit.

I have the Kenton Pro Solo and it never disappoints me. I use it to control my ARP Odyssey. I also have a Doepfer MCV4, but I couldn't stand the stepped voltage changes with the pitch bend, so I upgraded. The Kenton is so much better.

I bought a Juno-60 recently and now I have to decide whether to get a Pro-DCB, or replace my Pro-Solo with a Pro-2000 with the DCB option.

Kenton Pro Solo here. Works beautifully with the Korg MS-20.

Three interfaces currently:
--Kenton Pro 2000 [used for everything]
--Future Retro Mobius [used when in a pinch, when the Kenton is already in use]
--Roland MPU prototype thingy [dedicated to my ARP 2600]

WD

P.S. Because I could only vote once, I said, "Pro 2000," because it's my primary.

Doepfer MCV4, kind of poor man's MCV24

Just laying around in a big white box together with my extra cables and a Korg KMS-30, as I have no synth to use with it at the moment...

No MIDI to CV interface used, as I keep my CV side separate from my MIDI side (at least for note information). The only "CV to MIDI" interface that I use is a box bought off the 'bay that allows me to sync the tempo of the MF 105B to the MIDI tempo generated my by Alesis SR-16 or Siel MDP-40.

I have 5 Kenton Pro-Solo2's and 1 Pro-2000. I love the Kentons for one big reason: Auto-Portamento. It turns legato playing into portamento so I can get 303 type slides based on playing.

I use the Expressionist and the Pro-2000.

The Expressionist for (most)basic CV/Gate. The Pro-2000 for modulation and sync/triggering.

The Pro-2000 is more flexible but the Expressionist handles Hz a little better. Well, sort of.
