I has a JD990!

Post by Architecture » Fri Jul 18, 2008 5:46 am

I just got my mint condition JD990 in the mail today. and all I can say is, this is the synth that I have been lacking in my setup for too long! This covers all of the sounds that I need for my music, outside of the traditional analog sound.

Time to make some killer music!

these things are well worth what they are going for.

Congratulations! I've put the vintage board in mine - SR-JV80-04. You just HAVE to have the vintage board.

Sorry chaps - I didn't notice that the other JD thread had been moved to 'Buyer's Guide'. As you were...

I paid about 355 for mine, in MINT condition. This machine is immaculate, almost what I would call in "Don Solaris" condition (museum condition for those who haven't seen his gear".

Now im thinking about getting a vintage board here. Since I guess the other cards are not worth having.

Man the JD990 has to be one of the coolest synths I have got in a while. This thing makes some seriously amazing sounds youd never get from analog.

the other cards are ranging from good to great. but I'd like those more for it's quantity and instant usage. For me, the Vintage card is the most worthy for the JD.

I picked up a 990 last week to take on a programming job, with the Vintage card. It's one of the few synth's that I really rather like, certainly sounds far better than any other S+S synth out there.

Well worth finding, the Vintage card is a must, you also get the extra bank of sounds that was programmed just for the 990.
You always want just one more Synth!
