That's 100% s**t HOT!!

The sample memory thing sounds like ROM rather than user samples though, although I hope I'm wrong.

I understand why (to keep it compact) the original desktop version didn't have many real-time controllers, but why would they not add at least a few more knobs when making a keyboard version? Seems like most MIDI controllers already have as many, if not more, knobs than this thing. Or is there some other big advantage over the original Blofeld that I'm missing?

It has midi out, which is a big plus. I'm curious to see what functions the sampler sports. Amazing value!

I'm pretty sure they are speaking about user samples.

Damn! Looks like a pretty damn sweet package. If I wasn't flat-out broke atm, I'd definetly buy one ASAP. Price seems alright.

That looks rather ace indeed! £599's not a bad price too. Glad to see it has aftertouch!
I didn't get where I am today by posting on internet forums.

im pretty sure, at this day n age, its gonna be Flash ROM, like Nord Wave has. it would be pretty stupid to add a plain ol' ROMpler capability.

what im not as sure, but am hoping for, there will be a way (via pc/mac editor) to create your own user wavetables, and that these too can be stored in those 60Gb. that shouldn't be a problem considering how miniscule are the memory requirements for this - measured in kilobytes. with onboard storage of user wavetable sets, we could have completely different wavetables for every patch, if we wanted too. now that would be one serious breakthru compared to all previous waldorfs/ppgs. [-o<

if this is not vaporware like stromberg/zarenbourg, and they have it out in the market within months, im so getting one. haven't been this excited about a digital synth in a long while. Image

here's a Blofeld demo, done by a friend of mine, that was the last straw for me: Blofeld_demo

Seems like a rather lazy release to me... come on...they should have learned from the evolver to MEK scenerio... knobs are nice.

Well more knobs would be nice, but 49 keys + blofeld + samples all for $850 US?
