Re: DSI MoPho
I love the sound videos, I love the idea of the synth, great price point, and it is amazing how DSI can instantly start shipping a product that only a month or two before was just vaporware!
I will probably purchase this product, but the one thing that would have made it a home run and allow it to interface with my vintage analog monosynths is CV outs (that way it could function as a MIDI to CV converter as well).

Re: DSI MoPho
Keyed version of Blofeld is more interesting if you ask me.mirt wrote:blofeld key is to bigHas anyone else noticed there hasn't been any Blofeld key discussion since this got leaked?
But eh, it's a bit over double the price.

Nah, too small, you need 5 octaves at least.mirt wrote:blofeld key is to bigHas anyone else noticed there hasn't been any Blofeld key discussion since this got leaked?

I think everyone should be happy that there is a $400 real analog synth, in 2008, that will be sold in most musical instrument stores...and not boutique stores or ebay. We can concentrate on what it doesn't have...but really, it has a lot for the cash.

Reminds me of the Futureretro XS demo's that were percussion samples from the XS sequenced into loops.DocT wrote:Some drums, sampled and played with NI Battery 3:

Sound nice, has a sort of fizz on the fm sounds.
Re: DSI MoPho

Good gracious, DocT! Your programming skillz just floor me every time. You can get twice the weirdness out of this MoPho that I can eek out of my evolver.DocT wrote:How come you didn't find this one:guesswho wrote:Anyone catch the demos? If not here you go:

Re: DSI MoPho
Very much agreed. I once owned an Evolver, but let it go because the overall character did not please my ear. Much the same could be said of the limited time I spent with a P08.clusterchord wrote:P8 or DSI stuff in general would be my last choice for really punchy big bass. so im making a guess Mocho won't be much different in this respect either. i find this peticular late version of Curtis filter rather weak. aside from few exceptions, having dcos does not help the lo end issue either. for "some bass once in awhile", in this price range, id definetely grab a sh-09.JSRockit wrote:seems perfect for my needs, which is only some bass once in awhile.
Time will tell if the Mopho has tone that delivers. This will, of course, vary per person.
That all said, as it concerns bass (and other duties), I could not be more pleased with my Roland SH-2.
cheers,
Ian

I have to admit, I am little jealous of the headphone out and the display with words
What do you have evolver? Cryptic 3 digit symbols that look like Predator's wrist watch? asshole!

Yep, those displays are a bugbear of mine. Was it patch number 53 or 54? Maybe 45? From what I gather full displays do knock up the price of small run products like these.tallowwaters wrote:I have to admit, I am little jealous of the headphone out and the display with words
