Sold 1/3 of my rig =/

Post by iProg » Mon Dec 15, 2008 10:49 am

I was in desperate need of cash and feel like I wasn't going to use them from now on, and it feels good to optimize the rig for upcoming projects. I sold my mk1 DX-7, my Wavestation EX and the JX-8P.
Next year I'm looking forward to get a Prophet 08, some new stands and a new mixing table...as soon as the wallet allows!

yes it feels good to get rid of the dead wood...

also let go of my dx7 and wavestation ex...i ve experimented with so many set ups
but youve just gotta have room for these types of synths for them to earn there space.

im always trading gear...good luck

Should have kept the JX. Those damn pads are going to have you missing them. The Prophet just can't get that JX sound.

Spent two hours with the JX-10 yesterday, it has some amazing features and sounds!

It sits perfectly in my rig!

I actually love seeing people come to this realization. Most people sit on their unused gear. The best thing to remember is that you can always buy it again if you miss it. Plus it looks like you'll be able to focus more on music by using less gear. Nice job =D>

Haha, well, the synths I sold are really no rarities and I've been thinking about saving my money for a BIG ONE, but the the Prophet 08 came along and it seems more reliable and has a great feel and analog sound...we'll see!
