SCI Prophet 5 revision 2 and 3.

Post by hfinn » Thu Jan 01, 2009 10:34 pm

I made a clip of both Prophets. One is on the left and the other is on the right. I tried to match volume and settings as closely as possible so that the differences between the two were as minimal as possible*. Let's see who can guess which is on which channel. Have fun.

Prophet 5 revision 2 and 3

*This is by no means meant to be a definitive study or such. It was done on the fly, but it's still pretty accurate.

Excelent. Intriguing. Nice done of you.

I guess that the rev2. is in the left channel.

Who knows... they both sound good. All Prophets sound good to me so I don't really care about the rev debate thing.

Thanks for doing this. I'd also guess left is the rev.2 (both sound good though).

Add me to the crew guessing that the left channel is rev 2. There seems to be more high end detail w/ more resonance.
Makes me want to go try this myself
Heath, are you using a P5 for the rev 3 sound or a P10 ? Mono vs Stereo would make a big difference.

Hi Urge,

I'm using two Prophet 5's. No Prophet-10. I figured that wouldn't make it quite fair. ;)

By the way , you're killing me w/ both the Matrix 12 and the MM+. Just thought you'd get a chuckle....

Yup, revision 2 Prophet-5 is on the left channel and revision 3 is on the right.
