Winter NAMM 09 flood begins

Post by meatballfulton » Thu Jan 15, 2009 5:05 pm

Well, here we go...

From Akai:

APC40 dedicated controller for Ableton Live
EWI controller with USB...only $300!
MPK controller now in 25 key version

From Ableton:

Special version of Cycling 74's Max for use with Live

From Roland:

VSynth GT v2
Cakewalk branded USB interfaces for audio and MIDI

Rumors of new NI softsynths, Cubase 5, some kind of new piano from Yamaha...
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

You sure about the price on the EWI?

Got a link?

I think one of those would be tons of fun.

I can't wait to see how the AKAI APC40 works. I might sell my Novation Remote Zero SL just for that, if it delivers.

I would be all over this if I could get it to work with MIDI.

I hope its completely customizable. That box would make a triumphant drum-grid programmer.

Those have been out for at least a couple of months.
$299 at Amazon.com, and a customer review dated back in November:

Wow! Roland are sure putting out a new follow-up to their failed VP-550,
with auto-accompaniment features "loops" and "auto-harmony", sounds
much like a glorified home organ really.

Man was I disappointed at Korg; the Pink Kaossilator has only one advantage over the original - it's pink instead of yellow. Other than that it's identical:
