kinda funny how they're using a microkorg as the source in the demo.

I just read about it today and I'm at work without video access. So i haven't heard demos yet. I'm guessing it is like the Boss VT1?.. I have one of those already but you can never have enough vocal weirdness can you?

the video demo is just them using it as a vocoder with a microkorg or an acoustic guitar as the source. pretty sure they only showed one mode of operation. does have "male/female" tone control, imagine other modes are more like a VT-1. it did seem to sound pretty decent as a vocoder, and has reverb built in which is kind of nice. little pedal vs. two rack spaces has me wondering about replacing my warp factory...

At most some sort of nominal fee (say $20?) to cover their development costs. As you say, goodwill is going to be worth a lot in the coming year or two.
That all might be true. But as bad as things are economically right now, Waldorf has probably been feeling it longer. Judging from delays in releases, delivery, etc., they're a company that operates pretty close to the edge. Thety probably really need your $99.
well its looking closer to $150 now from what i've read on the waldorf mailing list

anyway though,

I don't think they would charge for the upgrade unless they really needed the money.

and I'm sure they do, I'm not sure how well the blofeld has been selling, but the largo definitely seems like a way for them to make cash, take an existing synth engine, port it to AU/VSTi, price it reasonably, sell a lot

That would be a sweet price if it was a bundle: APC40 + Live

Anyway, APC40 sure looks amazing and a must-have for any Ableton user.

Actually it's £399.00 (around 425 euros) on DV247, which is a pretty cheap store here in Europe.

Wonder how much shipping and import duties to the EU would be? Probably less than the difference?

Would be nice if you spent a little time contributing to the forum before you started the boring old 'no new analogues' bitching, especially considering how stupid it is to say midi controllers are boring but you what more knobs.
