Does anyone know what these synths/MIDI controllers are?

Post by andrew13 » Fri Jan 23, 2009 5:09 pm

In this video I don't have a clue at which synths are used. Can any one help me out?
M-Audio oxygen 49, Microkorg, Alesis Micron.
I only wish I could own a Clavia Nord lead 2.

I think they are both just controllers on the left. The top one is a 49-key M-Audio Oxygen or Radium, the bottom appears to be an 88-key M-Audio.

The blue one on the right appears to be used for playing bass. Don't recognize it but I think it is also a controller.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Top one is definitely a Radium 49, although I never seen a red one before. He probably painted it. Interesting.

Dont forget about the stage lighting my babies!

At the beginning of the video the lights turn from purple to red on the guy playing keys.
The 88 key doesnt change color as much because it is turned away from the lights.

Could be, but notice that the RADIUM logo is missing. There should be a mark on the upper right of the face that says RADIUM and a pattern logo. Both are not there. I have a RADIUM controller and the knobs match 100% but all the text and markings are gone.

the one on the right is 100% an M-Audio oxygen 8, painted blue. odd that they didn't paint the I/O panel, though. even more odd, that they'd use it live at all. absurdly hideous keybed, even for a 2-octave (yes, i own one). guess the battery power option had something to do with it.
