After embarrassing myself in the other thread, I'm not sure how to go about this. Especially since I've only even been in the presence of one of these. I leaning toward the EML or the Korg. Really, I have no idea.

I'm leaning towards the EML 101.

Man! You are a very good synthesist. I might have a lot of synths but I wish I had your talent and knowledge! This sounds really good and I never been in the presence of these. But the bells... Man, it sounds good! I'll go with the sinthi. Thanks!

Unless it was multitracked, it is polyphonic, so that excludes the EMS & EML. I can't really guess beyond that as I've never had the opportunity to play, or hear, any of those instruments first hand.

don't forget though, the EML has four oscillators, and the EMS has three and they both can be patched in ways to create multiple notes at the same time.

Again, to play devil's advocate, keep in mind that Frequency Modulation can create a lot of the same sorts of sounds as a ring modulator. All of the synths in my list are capable of Frequency modulation. And the PS-3200 also has a ring mod...

I don't think it's the bottom 3. My first instinct tells me it's the EML.

I'm going to guess at MemoryMoog - there's something that reminds me ever so slightly of Minimoog frequency modulation. Whatever it is, it's ace, Heath!
I didn't get where I am today by posting on internet forums.
