Frostwave is on Hiatus

Post by Tardis » Wed Mar 11, 2009 3:42 pm

I try to visit synth manufacturer websites as often as I can.
I visited Frostwave's site today & saw this...

Clicky>>> http://www.frostwave.com/

I called Frostwave a few years ago when they discontinued the Fat Controller, & talked to Paul himself!
He was very helpful & seems like a really nice guy.
I hope everything's ok with Paul Perry.
Best wishes to Paul & his family. :)

Yeah, old news. He posted on analogue heaven about it. If I remeber correctly it came down to him not really making money off of it and it being more of a hobby so he needed a break to focus on other things. I think he said he does plan to do it again though.

I'm dying for a frostwave resonator! Yes he has been shut down for more like a year? I've seen resonators go for well over $300 and they originally sold for $280...

Hopefully he makes another batch someday

Is the Resonator an exact clone of the MS20 filter?

credit to him for recognising the problem, acting on it and telling customers.

rather than struggling on and just ending up annoying everyone with backed-up orders etc.

Hope he'll be back soon! Love the alienator
