Guitar Center in CA has the entire Yamaha KX line of controllers on sale for half of what online prices are- i picked up a KX25 for $100, and these are up to and including the KX8 88-key version.

How's the action on the keys? Compared to something like Edirol's PCR line, you know...do the keys feel like a Casio home keyboard, does the velocity go wonky every five minutes?

Its the same (no-aftertouch) key action as the MO and MM yamahas... well, it *feels* the same as them.

Oh yeah they have quite extensive built in arps, that's the main reason i got one- 342 arp types, in 13 categories, and the percussion arps have multiple patterns in them, total of 540 patterns. The guitar arp type includes strumming patterns, all have adjustable swing, gate time, and can be synced to tempo *but* varied from that (you can set a pattern to be synced to tempo but run at 50- 200% of the tempo.) Pretty nifty.Comes with a nice set of VSTs, including HALion ONE with most of the Motif sound set.
