It would have to be my dad's RCA 77D. It's an earlier model and they came out in 1945... He says 1947 at the latest.
As for things that make sound it would be a Wurlitzer home organ with the little Orbit synth.
Then the Simmons SDS-V.

actually, scratch that. I have a Hammond L112 from 1967-ish. I forgot...Arturo00 wrote:If we're talking synths, it's either my multimoog or my jupiter 4. If we're talking any gear, probably my two API 525A's (made sometime in the early to mid 70's).

I think Ive the same conclusion as Cumulus:
"Right now, synth-wise it would be the MiniMoog. I think it pre-dates the CS-50. it's a relatively early serial number."
Other gear I guess Its my Schulte Compact Phasing A, since its used on Phaedra, I guess its made before 1974.

I just realized that my oldest piece of gear would have ot be the 1920's RCA Victrola. I have sampled several little horn parts for use in my pieces.JJQ wrote:I think Ive the same conclusion as Cumulus:

Just today I found a treasure-trove of old records at a thrift store and one of them have a great drum break that is going in something very soon.

JJQ, so you have a Mini and a CS-50 as well, huh? I think they compliment each other very nicely. There are thigns that the Mini can't do that are covered by the CS-50 and vice versa.

Until I sold it, my Korg KR-55 (1979) was my oldest piece of gear.

That's a beautiful mic. Has it been to Wes Dooley's yet?OntarioHydro wrote:It would have to be my dad's RCA 77D. It's an earlier model and they came out in 1945... He says 1947 at the latest.
