Hopefully it's something polyphonic with keys. We have enough mono synths out there.

It's the monophonic SEM he's been talking about for ages, I imagine.

No man, didn't miss it. Just hoping for anything but another SEM. There's already companies that expanded on the SEM.
BUT... there's only the Prophet 08 and the Andromeda in the keyed polysynth arena. We need more.

Hm, I think he'll have a h**l of a time marketing such a simple synth module at full price in these days of new analog monosynths.

I think that Oberheim are going to launch the SEM to start with, and then, if the buisness goes well, continues with bigger projects. Just like DSI.

It's good to see that more oldtimers are jumping on the new-analog-synth bandwagon however :) Nothing bad will come from it at least.

Sure, but alot of people have NOT heard that 8 vco sweep because they weren't around when the SEM's were produced. And even less could afford them when they did. I've never seen an SEM module in real life.

To these people it's just another monosynth that there are a dime a dozen of these days, right?
Legend and nostalgia can't market an item alone.
