That's what I was afraid of. Once I program it though they should be able to exist without the computer?

The learn function is the best way to get sysex into the BCR. It's a bit dodgy but really, not as bad as was described earlier in this post. You just have to sweep through your synth's parameters slowly and it usually picks up fine and saves LOADS of time. It's truly a brilliant unit.

Yes... for sure...

As far as the learn function goes... Im sure it works well with any other synth that I havent tried to use it with... :roll:

Moved the room around again. Now I'm compelled to put the JX-8P on the higher tier. Not because of it's status (I still 'prefer' the 3P if I had to chose) but because the BCR fits on the 8P ok, just restricting the last few patch buttons (don't use really)... STILL overlarge, I'd love to trim my spare one down and paint in retro to suit. Not much you can do inside the BCR as it's one fairly large PCB.

So new (BAD quality as always thanks to very old digital camera, I should buy a new camera instead of synths some day) shots:
