All the synths I use can be fixed!

But I sure would get twice an MS20 and a Lambda!

i'm pretty positive i'd buy Jupiter 8, A6, OBX, OBXA, Solina and Prophet 5 rev2 again. if i could find all in good shape.

SH-2 would perhaps become Multimoog
Formant Modular - > Macbeth X-Module modular to be
Elka Rhapsody 610 -> Korg Poly Ensemble 2000
Rhodes Stage '76 mk1 -> pre-75 all-wood Rhodes Suitcase mk1, serviced to perfection. even with extra cash involved, i'd do it.

Waldorf XT - > XTk
Microwave w Access prog -> PPG Wave 2.0 if id find one evaar
EMAX SCSI SE & MKS70 w PG800 -> Xpander
TC 4000 -> TC M5000 and Eve H3000DSE
GR ME-1NV -> GR ME-2NV

I'll do this realistically, as in replacing my cheap-a*s synths with other cheap-a*s synths. I mean, who wouldn't want to replace a Mopho with a Minimoog!

1. DSI Mopho. If it died I'd probably save up and buy another Moog Little Phatty Stage. Maybe one that isn't ill.
2-3. E-Mu Vintage Keys Plus & Alesis Micron. Hmm. Since I really only use the VK+ for Mellotron strings (and I've been contemplating letting it go for some time now) and the Micron for a 2nd analog-esque synth for live work I'd replace both with a Waldorf Blofeld with the sample upgrade. Then I could load up the Mellotron string samples and have a somewhat convincing virtual analog lead synth too.
4. Oberheim Matrix-1000. Yeah, hard to replace. Unrealistically I'd say a Prophet 08 Rack, but since I couldn't afford one I'd probably say Roland JX-8P.
5. Radio Shack Concertmate-250. Well...I guess maybe I'd find a Casio SA-1 but I'd really miss the Fantasy setting.

And if this were completely fantasy...
1. I'd take an Encore-upgraded Moog Source.
2. I'd love one of the new Mellotrons.
3. The Micron is mostly a second lead monosynth so I'd love a MiniMoog Old School.
4. Gimme an Alesis Andromeda in place of the M-1000.
5. In place of the little Casio give me a Yamaha CS01 Mark II. Retains form factor and can do the ghosty square wave stuff too.

that's not a nice scenario, but let's try it...:

roland juno 60 > jupiter 8
korg polysix > ps 3200
acetone gt 7 > yamaha e 75
korg ms 10 / 20 > arp odyssey and/or 2600
minimoog D > another D with lower serial 8)
korg vc 10 > s€nnheiser vocoder vsm201 :)
acidlab bl2 > x0xb0x
tb 303 > i'd get another one. nothing like it. or a x0xb0x too, but i'd be sad :(
jomox xbase 09 > tr 909
roland tr 626 > tr 707
mfb 503 > tr 808
yamaha tx7 > yamaha dx 7
roland d 50 > d550 with pg 1000

waldorf 4pole > mutator
roland re 201 > roland re 501

hmmmm... as i think about it, that might be a very nice scenario (at this point) :lol:

Ok this is turning out pretty well actually. I think I'll do my effects pedals...

Rocktron Cyborg Reverb => TC Electronics NR-1 Nova Reverb
Ashdown Hyperdrive => Tonefactor Cream Pie Deluxe
Danelectro Reel Echo => EHX Stereo Memory Man avec Hazarai
Morley Power Wah => G Lab Bass Wowee-Wah
Fender Volume/Tone => Morley Little Alligator
Guyatone TZ-2 => Wounded Paw Battering Ram
Line 6 Otto Filter => EHX Tube Zipper

That wasn't as easy as I'd hoped it might be...but to be honest, if everything I owned broke, my local music store would have a very angry customer to deal with.

Tricky... I'd base it on two lists: First, only replacing stuff with stuff I can get a hold of today, trying to balance the value of the rig somewhat. Second, no holds barred. Essentially just what I'd upgrade my rig to.

---

Roland JP-8080 -> Korg R3
Ensoniq ESQ-1 -> Waldorf Blofeld Keyboard
Moog Little Phatty -> DSI MoPho w/ Novation SL49 Compact

---

Roland JP-8080 -> Roland Jupiter-8
Ensoniq ESQ-1 -> PPG Wave 2.3
Moog Little Phatty -> DSI Mono Evolver Keyboard

monomachine -- Virus TI2 Polar
machinedrum - tr808
Virus Ti Snow -[
Nord Lead 2 -[----- Jupiter 8
Jupiter 4 -[
JV 1010 - Nord Electro 3

this new setup would be fantastic but it costs way more than my old

in the case of the EMX,.. replacing a 400$ machine with 3 grand worth of gear? i hope you also suddenly got rich in the fire or whatever caused you to lose everything :wink:

CZ-1 -> Oddulator
microX -> Blofeld
JX-3P/PG200 -> JX-3P/PG200
MS2000 -> MS2000
MKS30/PG200 -> Arp Axxe
ESX1 -> Machinedrum

If I could take the CZ-1, MS2000, and MKS30/PG200 and put em together, I'd reduce my # of kit with a Prophet 08 for all 3.. but id probably still end up oweing 1k...

Or everything against a Korg PS 3300 or an AKS.

Now I'll do a very realistic switchout
Moog Voyager - 4 different revisions of Arp 2600 and an oberheim 2 voice to sweeten the deal
OB-8 - Jupter 8 with a side of CS-80 and a P5 just for shits and giggles
TI Polar - andromeda and a TI2 Polar
ESX - PPG wave 2.3 and a TR-909/808 combo
