maybe i'm biased because this is my favorite piece of kit in the studio and this is also my truck....but i've always thought this.

Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. Under-appreciated during its time, like the TB-303.
Lots of fun, and a decent amount of power... but not TOO much power.

Blofeld/Lotus Elise - Both lightweight but high performance, able to compete with things twice their size - but short on luxuries like extra outputs, USB-vst-editor, cd players, electric windows.
