Yeah I dont like the sounds she uses on her Moog LP or that P08. Could have been using a VA for all I can tell despite efforts to look 'synthy' pluggin in an ARP. tbh I find most of her tunes irritating girlie synth pop. bit of a dissapointment really as I was hoping for great things after I heard some great tracks she did with her last band...but this is just a average mock-up of Goldfrapp and Blondie-but without the Goldfrapp quality of production or the Blondie confidence and edge...
Of course the media is lapping it up given the recent push of female artists following the 'Winehouse effect'...

Ahh not into Little Boots, and do not like her synth tones. Very plugin ala ringtone rap music
Moog LP + Casio SK1 and MT-75 + tube amp = good tone.

i'm absolutely loving Little Boots. Its really refreshing to hear some genuine synth work and songwriting in the charts, and plus all the little "fun" videos she does on her youtube channel are awesome.

Plus she's rockin' a Tenori-On

Something about girls + synths + flashy lights. ooooOoOoooOoOOOoo :D

Then again i'm a 17 year old boy and she's a pretty girl......

Slightly off topic: i think it's a real shame the Andromeda is not part of this revival of Synthpop. Come on i mean, everyone is loving the new Analogue gear and the A6 is unmatchable in features and 'Wow' factor.

I don't want the pedigree of the Andromeda lowered to Synthpop standards by a bunch of one hit wonders, let them use their Microkorgs and m-audio controllers with VST software.
Let's keep the Andromeda as our "little secret".

Maybe the tweens will see this video and ask for the "black and orange keyboard like Little Boots has" and push the Arp 2600 into the 5 figures. That would be awesome since it's already hopelessly nowhere near my horizon anyways. 8)
Too futurist to live.

its cool... but none of those synths in the video made those sounds
No one cares, no one sympathizes,
so you just stay home and play synthesizers.

I may or may not stalk this woman 8) and she pretty much exclusively uses a Little Phatty and Prophet 08, oh and a microkorg....

She definitely didn't use the 2500, and i've no idea what synths they had in the studio for recording the album, but the programming is pretty sterile, i will admit. I love the album though.

You know I was thinking about this the other day. You couldn't move at Glastonbury for Little Phatty's.
Plenty of Voyagers and Virus's (not just the swine ones  ) seem to be "on the telly" and the occasional P08... but the Andromeda does need some love.

Not impressed at all. The LP and P08 are capable of alot more than that.

I thought she was decent till that lame production company snapped her up and took her from bedroom synth/piano geek to overproduced hiphop cliche c**p. She won't have a hit, only possibility of that is if she somehow ditches the lame producers and actually sticks to trying something different rather than wanna be mainstream bleh.

Back when her track "Stuck on Repeat" came around I liked her sound and thought she would get better. All she had was a myspace with a picture of boots and less than 400 friends.

Edit: I just listened to the "album version" of stuck on repeat and it doesn't even sound like the original. They changed the snare and it just sounds different. Pretty crappy.

Look at her now...man her tracks aren't good. Is the guy from hot chip still producing her? If so he ran her into the ground. To think when she was in LA she would talk about "plastics" and then her music ends up sounded pretty plastic.

Some producers really ruin musicians don't they.
