So... What's up at Elektron?
Quoted from their website: "The Swedish summer is over and vacations are coming to their end, its back to the factory. Stay tuned for pleasant news!" <--- I like this part.
I'm tuned in! Anybody care to speculate on what could possibly be brewing at Elektron? Anyone wanna start with the "I hope it's a..."
I saw the "Comprendor" hoax on matrixsynth already so that dosn't count.
I hope it's something that's not a "companion" to the MNM and the MD. I want to see another instrument. Then again, do I really want to see something new? G-A-S

Turbo-midi 2? T-shirts? Stickers? Who knows...but I wouldn't get too excited.

As I typed the post I was thinking the exact same thing. That would be a pretty big let down considering they haven't come out with a new product since the mkII's right?JSRockit wrote:Turbo-midi 2? T-shirts? Stickers? Who knows...but I wouldn't get too excited.
How about a SID Station keyboard w/ a sequencer and a couple of the MD & MNM synths thrown in?

I don't think it will be anything great.

If it's not a new instrument, then i would say Elektron are short on new ideas or not able to come up with anything at all. time will tell i guess... Just hope it's not a DJ tool!

Unless they hired someone that is really into sound to help create a new piece of gear that actually sounds awesome...I don't care what they are making. Throw a filter in and a better sound engine. Probably MKIII's with a multi gesture track pad and backlit rotary encoders. Elektron boxer shorts.
I should sell them already to get a spectralis2 or something.

I hope they drop down their prices.... I love the sound of the Mk II machine drum and it's on my wishlist for xmas , but they are a little EXPENSIVE in my opinion

JS, I know your an avid user of their products. Is there anything you in particular, wish to see from them?
I really hope that whatever it is, it isn't a mkIII of anything.
Off topic, I recently bought an MDUW mkII from a member here. Can't wait 'til it arrives!

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?
This is pure wishing from my side, but a dedicated fx machine like in the MnM but at a reduced price (6 stereo fx processors complete with sequencers and delay/srr/filter per machine).. err.. wait a second, a mk1 MnM would cover that, but still I'd like to see a flanger, phaser and maybe a vocoder from theese guys in some form.
hah, Elektron boxers would actually be awesome, I'd get a couple for sure

According to Daniel of Elektron it is a new product that does NOT overlap with the already existing product-line.

cool, as long as it ain't a DJ type product, as the market is already flooded with such stuff.

The MD and MNM are DJ-products too. You should see Daniel (dj Erase) demo them...
BTW, I would love something similar to the Korg KaossPad3. FX-processing with a clever interface but with new ideas! So DJ-orientted may rock my boat!
Re: So... What's up at Elektron?
Hmmm... haven't thought about this in awhile. I used to want a full on sampler, but I haven't been using samples lately. I don't want emulation of anything. I don't want an effects box because I think their effects are nothing special. My feelings are that I hope I don't want it. And if I do want it, it doesn't cost $2000.Shanesaw wrote:JS, I know your an avid user of their products. Is there anything you in particular, wish to see from them?
