Probaby just gonna be another artist interview by the looks of it. I wish Elektron would just cut the bullshit secrecy and announce whatever it is they are *supposedly* working on?

I hear that Syn303 ... but that's not their style...I guess they have to make their 100 or so fanboys drool first?

Whatever happened to just releasing a product..?
Maybe it's a UW update to their Machinedrum T-shirts.

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?
A split function for the MD would be cool. Like say if you wanted to play continuously and you mute then select what you muted and then load parts of a kit into said slots without having to stop.
Yeah you can probably be creative like load another kit during a transitional time of a track or 2 kits in 1 but this split thing that came to mind would be cool. Probably not possible but who knows.
-Sampler/Sequencer with modular capabilities and a solid song mode
2(4) Channel Dj Mixer with loopers and FX
-Elektron Autotune
Midi timing upgrade kit (I am kidding!)
-Hardware performance interface to control MD and MnM
Thongs
-MKVI refresh because they ran out of parts for MKIII's
Handcrafted wood case editions
-3.5 disk drive add on to load samples faster
OS updates
Just fueling the flames.

^ Should be doable,
sounds like the "X-mix" feature of the command station. - just switches a single track at a time, instead of a whole group.. so you're not putting extra processing load on, just can gradually shift from one pattern to the next

It's going to be an Emulator emulator.

Unless the group of 16 tracks is a single object in the code driving it - like, if it's set up to load the group into memory, and then everything is set to access objects within the group...cartesia wrote:^ Should be doable,

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?
That would be sweet if Elektron made a hardware sequencer and finally cracked the code to allow it to control software sequencers like Logic. I wish there was a x0x hardware sequencer controller on the market for selecting/deselecting steps of a sequence in software. With a couple assignable controllers onboard to assign your most used parameters. I'd buy it instantly. Wouldn't ever think twice about buying a TR909 again.

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?
I guess... But given the nature of the 'machines' you'd think their code would be pretty highly compartmentalised objects, all residing within a greater object for the whole group.. even if they can only switch entire groups at once, it wouldn't be hard to create a hybrid group, then switch it in all at once - it depends though, I dont know.. can the elektron gear handle instantaneously switching everything in the group at once?GeneralBigbag wrote:Unless the group of 16 tracks is a single object in the code driving it - like, if it's set up to load the group into memory, and then everything is set to access objects within the group...cartesia wrote:^ Should be doable,

Elektron.se is down. Either someone tripped on the servers power chord or they are getting ready for that big T-shirt update.
