Access Limited Edition?

Post by gtivr6fan » Sat Nov 07, 2009 10:58 pm

Would you consider the Access Indigo V1, a "limited edition"?
I question a recent ebay listing, which is calling it that. The seller accounts for the name by explaining "A small number were made to see how they would be greeted".

Wasn't there a limited edition of the indigo that had a black/red colour scheme rather than white/blue?

yes, the red black is particularly rare.

People hype their s**t on ebay, get used to it. Everything is rare and comes with a free unicorn that you can't see, hear, smell or sense in any way but who cares very deeply about your concerns and feelings and in this way, can bring you great comfort.

It was called the "Redback" edition and was the same size/specs/price of the Indigo 2, with the black/red colour scheme of the Virus C/KC (and could have sworn it also featured a picture of a redback spider on it. (Australian poisonous spider).

Taken from the Access Indigo 2 brochure:
"The original limited edition Indigo revamped an entire industry's concept of supply and demand."
I thought they were difficult to get when they released them. So if Access wants to call them limited editions, I'll take their word on it.
Now the Red Back, that was a "Special Edition". I'm sorry I did not buy that one, as Novamusik offered it to me for $50 less than the one I purchased with the blue LED's. What was I thinking? At the time they were cool? #-o

I guess the spider was just on the brochure? The pictures don't really do the Indigo justice. Those sides are 3/8" solid aluminum, heavy duty construction. The photo makes them look plastic.

My fuzzy recollection is the first Indigo was intended as a limited release. Don't know if the early ones were numbered. They saw a genuine demand and made it part of the lineup.

The Redbacks were strictly limited and numbered.

I'm getting old, the memory fails me and gets fuzzy... :grandpa:

Redback spiders also don't look like the picture on the brochure, colours are reversed, black, with a red stripe / blotch.

I wish they would release the polar in that color scheme... I kind of hate white synths even though I LOVE my polar.

There is also the goldfilter
