I despite DX7s ... Miserly controls, coincided with a horrible time in music (although admittedly some faves do use DX7) and killed the knobby analog synth all with those barfy turquoise buttons ... Take the money, then nuke it from orbit ... I don't even care what it sounds like ...

Sell the one that somebody wants to buy for a reasonable price.

If you really need money and music doesn't make you survive sell both.

If you need money to buy a new ultra fashion "dolce&gabbana" t-shirt... keep both and forget the t-shirt

I see this thing as black or white... because both of your synths are really good but cheap on the market so you'll not solve your money problem selling one of them.

I'm inspired  may be paint the Poly-800 keys in reversed and sell it for a fortune, then use the cash and spend the extra for another Poly-800 later

If you're contemplating selling one of those then you should just sell both. For the money, buy something that you would never part with. That way you won't have to ask yourself the same question again.

Sell the DX7; you'll get more so it will be worth the trouble in shipping/listing and you can always get another.

Plus, if the push buttons work on your DW-8000, you don't want to take your chances on finding another one.
Too futurist to live.

Probably the DX - they're the easiest to find in case you want to add one back to your rig again. During its absence, you could use any of the newer FM softsynths out there for little to no $$. Besides, it'll be much harder to replicate the warmer aspects of the DW on somthing FM-based - especially its beautiful filters.

Uh, guys - it's a DX7IIFD. Those fetch far higher prices on the 'bay and are harder to get than the trusty brown battleship - which is only hard to get if you want it in good condition.

They're easier to find than you think - at least in the US.

Filter, singular.
