These Jexus vids from youtube blew my mind.

Jexus has his patches available free online, go to his website.

A sobering example of how little the hardware really matters if you know how to program.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

His demos are always impressive and his programming skills are top-notch.

I can see AN-1x prices going up on ebay right now...

I checked http://syntezatory.prv.pl/ but I didn't see any patches. These sounds are beautiful. I really wish I could use them.

I've never asked him for any patches, but I still don't think Jexus is going to be releasing them any time soon...

Listen carefully to the sounds he makes and try to reverse-engineer them in your head. If you're familiar enough with the architecture of the machine, it shouldn't be a huge problem to get at least very similar results.

Listening through the demos, it doesn't sound that much different from the available AN1x patches, i.e. what Yamaha and others have provided. The challenge is to listen though all availble patches and pick up the best and then start editing them to your own taste.

The An1x is clearly underrated/undervalued.

Yeah, those patches sound sick. Lots of it is simply his playing style, and ability to improvise on the fly. The an1x is capable of a lot more, especially with the recorded EGs

Also is about picking your best improvising performances on video and having fun when playing.

Youtube is so full of s**t and hyperboring synth videos, that we really appreciate these ones.

I hate those ones when the dumbass just bought the synth, turn it on and starts to play random presets, or those guys who composed a "song" push START on the sequencer, and then leave the scene. sometimes, looking an specific synth to have some reference from it, is a waste of time due to these people

AN1x is one of the best deals right now. They are around $350.
But I prefer my JP8080 :)

He should be a salesman at keyboard shop. He could probably sell you ketchup popsicle by showing the advantages of it in popsicle form.

But his talent already has landed him somewhere, so no need for a salesman.
