I'd hope for an update for FM8 that gets rid of the old bugs and the new bugs (introduced with 1.4, which causes me to use 1.3), and in addition adds new functionality.

That one they're making out of lab-grown larynxes and neural tissue.

The first old school analog that's doesn't cost a car... I hope scientists at Yamaha Lab's find a new technology for new synths, so the price of old school ones drops. Like in the early nineties.

For me, the Andromeda A6. Same as 2009, 2008, 2007....
Gear List: A bunch that go 'WHHONNGG!', several that go 'tweedle tweedle' and 'thumpity', and a few that don't make any noise at all but have lots of delightful little lights on them.

there are actually quite a few rumors going around that Roland is announcing a "Jupiter" at the Winter NAMM in California (january)

I am going so I will def. post something on here if it turns out to be true :) Although a) i doubt it and b) even if they do I doubt it will live up to its name..

I guess considering the last two times they implied a new synth could be interpreted as a 'new Jupiter' (JP-8000 and JD-800) we got two pretty great products, even falling short of the JP-8 mark could be good for us.
