I'm looking to find some information on using CV in conjunction with lighting while performing. Does anyone have any good resources or could point me in the right direction with links or personal experience. My idea is to route and control lights with moogerfoogers. (if at all really possible?)
Any ideas from you fellow VSE-ers?

Re: Using CV to control lights on stage
It's easy to control lighting from MIDI (get a DMX controller with a MIDI interface or a MIDI->DMX box)... but as for control voltages I'm not sure what exists unless you build your own dimmer packs.
Maybe you could use a CV->MIDI box and then MIDI->DMX?

You could go low budget and try that. There are more technical max/msp arduino based setups and stuff using midi.
I am not some electronics pro but I would think you would need something in between your moogerfooger and the lights(to protect the foogers and not cause explosions I dunno). It might be easier to change the cv/gate to midi and use software but I guess it depends on how elaborate you are trying to go.

My thoughts exactly! I want to believe it's possible to do... when I find time and some extra money to get a midi-->dmx converter, i'm hoping to put this to the test
