Heard something about new DSI stuff on Sonic State podcast...
Personally, I'd also like to see some FR XS-orie.

Maybe I'll be surprised. This year there is almost no hype or rumors.

I could be wrong though
nope.... Two oscillators not 3 like the minimoog.....moog can easily follow the tetra idea of expanding the circuitry just by a little and instead of selling a monophonic moog for 1300, they can justify $2000 for a two oscillator 4 note polyphony lil phatty. They'll use the same chassis to cut manufacturing costs and just sandwich the expansion board into the main motherboard.
Dave Smith Mopho, Dave Smith Tera, Oberheim SEM, Doepfer Dark Energy are all great $1000 and under synths that can ease away the market share from the little phatty. Thats why if you look at the used market value for a little phatty its going down to 800 for a used good condition little phatty. Before all these smaller companies came in the budget analog market little phatty's went for 1050 used.
This is a consumer's market and i also hope they push to be more competitive like this.

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

G force May have something new as well ... other than impOSCar 2 . I've gotten my hopes up and crushed before , but I hope it's the long in the tooth S.O.B. !
I think the new DSI may be a Tetra Keyboard .

i'm hoping the BEAT KANGZ make a new Oberheim OB-Xa clone called the CHUNKY DOPE ANALOG ZYNTH
"it's got the dope synth stabs fatter than your b***h's a*s!"
when absolutely, positively got to kill every f**k in the room with phat a*s basslines, except no substitute: THE BEAT KANGZ CHUNKY DOPE ANALOG ZYNTH

Re: Winter NAMM 2010
a tetra keyboard would be nice. any kind of poly from moog would be fantastic. i'm also keen on seeing more about john bowen's solaris. ... and i'm sure it's unlikely, but wouldn't a poly from tom oberheim be fantastic?
...speaking at length about something is no guarantee that understanding is advanced.

Re: Winter NAMM 2010
Whats up with all the beat kangz nerd jokes? This is starting to give me flashbacks of all the chiptune nerds crying about crystal castles and we all know it had the opposite effect of what those guys wanted to happen.
So DSI is going to announce something. Maybe a working Linndrum II? Doepfer with some pics of see-through modules.
Come on Clavia bust out a self contained Nord G3 that you can hook up a monitor and mouse to like the Roland MV-8800. Do eeeeet! Or touch screen like the V-synth.

Re: Winter NAMM 2010
I think all that's coming from Clavia this time is the Nord Piano. Some other things will be the Kurzweil PC3K, new Mellotron and some Korg product in a new color.
I'd love the poly-LP, but I doubt we'll see it for some time.
