It's a running joke from their EPIC FAIL video advertisement from last year
I am well aware of that. I meant more what is up with "the nerds" beating this dead horse?

See...

The whole sample streaming idea sounded cool to me even though it looks like an Escalade. They should make a non-weird looking version.

Well ... the call back is an essential part of comedy .

But to put us pack on track of the topic :
I'm very interested in seeing Muse's new MuseBox ( under a $1000.00 ) VSTi hardware player ... if it will do say ...
an Oddity , impOSCar , Attack , and MS20 all at once with an fx or two per channel I'm sold . Guess we will have to wait and see though .

I'm still glad that i didn't place a preorder when it was first announced. :(

Good to see that the project is still alive though. That synth has some serious potential if it ever gets off the factory floor.

I'm withholding my judgement on the Beat Wangs until they have an actual working product for sell.
And until the Linn boys get their sampler act together the Wangs may have to do.

I love the size of that iron lung box.

I'm getting the V256 though. The fact that it has a MIDI input for playing the internal sound generator and other features stuffed in there makes it seriously interesting. I'm gradually making my most-used gear more mobile for band practice so i'm hoping that the V256 will prove to be an adequate replacement for my old MAM vocoder.

"serious potential" is an understatement from my hours with it last year at NAMM. i'm looking forward to putting some more time into it over the next few days...

Is f**k awesome. Mine became an integral part of the setup within an hour of owning it.

Let us know how well it works. I came within inches of placing a preorder for the Solaris but then I heard about some of the turbulence in the company and I decided that I'd rather wait even if it ended up costing me more in the end.

My only knowledge of the Solaris is from what some of the people working on it have said. The original vision seems to have been even more grandiose than the current one but even in its' current shape it still promises to be The ultimate subtractive synthesizer.

No one cares, no one sympathizes,
so you just stay home and play synthesizers.

A couple of knobs would've been way great instead of sliders. Oh well. The controllers are starting to show up. An MPD26 and some keyboard for the iPhone from Akai as well.
