It is not that one, or if it is, it is a different version from the photo, cause that one does not have any knobs on it.

This is my guess: Yamaha SY1

I think the Korg label is only a sticker.

Thanks! Yeah, it looks like an SY-1 or 2.

So, how is this synth? Any good? How much could it be worth?

it's a terrible synth, but very very rare (I think maybe only 30 made?), so it's probably worth about $5000 on a bad day. $7k on a good one.
Do you even post on vse bro?

The VSE prices are not accurate at this point. They are very outdated.

Yeah that's definitely a SY-1, Yamaha's first synthesizer introduced in 1974.

Garth Hudson of THE BAND used to use one of these back in the '70s, as did Swedish prog-rockers KAIPA and
the BBC Radiophonic Workshop (SY-2). BBC composers Peter Howell, Elizabeth Parker and, above all, Paddy Kingsland
used the SY-2 on lots of BBC productions like Doctor Who, Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy (TV-series) etc.
FWIW it apparently has the same filter as in the mighty GX-1 (which appeared a year later) .

You can listen to a nice 'orchestral' demo of the SY-1 here (scroll down to the bottom of the page):
http://www.soundofmusic.se/synthsandmore/sy1.htm

Some demos of the SY-2:

"The (Yamaha) CS-80 is a step ahead in keyboard control, and a generation behind in digital control" -- Dan Wyman, Jan 1979

Sounds great.

But i DONT think the SY-1 has the resonant High-pass as the sy-2.

With the economy the way it is, it appears the VSE price guide is coming full circle.
Too futurist to live.

I owned an SY-1 and I think it's a fantastic synth, sounds great to me! Has it's place for sure
Moog LP + Casio SK1 and MT-75 + tube amp = good tone.
