I'm looking for someone to help me identify the gear for Tobacco from Black Moth Super Rainbow. He is said to play the vocoder and synthesizers. I have no idea what his gear is.
This is Tobacco Another good pic.

Re: Gear Identification
The blue stomp box looks as though it is this vocoder pedal from electro harmonix ( the voice box): http://www.ehx.com/products/voice-box
No idea what anything else is

Re: Gear Identification
In the both photos, you can see a Electrix Warp Factory vocoder (the long skinny red box on the right). In the 2nd photo, you can see him messing with an Akai MPC500 portable sampling sequencer. There is an EHX "stomp box" pedal in both photos, but I can't tell what it is. Also in the 2nd photo, you can also see a MoogerFooger pedal, but I can't tell which one.

That EHX in the 1st photo looks like the Stereo Memory Man to me.

Re: Gear Identification
Thanks for the info guys. I think what he does is sample his synth sounds onto the MPC500 and then run that through the Warp Factory vocoder. And the other pedals are probably just additional effects (delay, etc.) for the voice.
Also I read somewhere that he uses the moog analog delay pedal.

Re: Gear Identification
I've seen him rock an SH-101, I think that was the main piece used in Tobacco. I remember reading that somewhere in an interview, like on xlr8r.com or something
