You can buy a "keyboard stand" from any of the following (and hundreds others):

www.sweetwater.com
www.musiciansfriend.com
www.guitarcenter.com
www.ebay.com

Unless you're looking for a SPECIFIC "fancy" stand.

Can you post a photo of what you're looking for?

bit like this,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8KNo1wFS_k also cant think of a decent way of holding my rack synth with the space ive got aswell (would be pointless getting a rack as ive got only one rack module.

I think the stand on the left is either this 3 tier x stand or something similar. One on the right is just a 2 tier version. I have 3 of these 3 tier stands (one is Quik Lok and the other 2 are other brands).

I'm pretty sure the person in that video is a member here. Maybe he can chime in and tell us what he uses.

If you find out who he is on the forum, let me know. I really enjoyed the video :D

how about some funky/weird keyboard stands?
example- NIN, GravityKills.

The stand almost looks unpractical & impossible to use IMO. however it still has that cool factor going.
I've kicked the idea around a few times constructing a custom stand of my own. anyone here using a "One of a Kind" synth stand?

That stand looks like it'll give you CTS.

I like this stand that HoJo's got:

i've had a lot of trouble finding good stands too that are different than what you find at the major music stores. i need more customizeable stands and have yet to find much in the way of that. i mostly just need some where the feet can turn sideways...which just is impossible to find on an X-stand.

if you're looking for a cool stand though - check this one out on musicians friend.

not flexible enough for what i want, but if you just have a couple of synths and want to show them off - that'd be pretty kick a*s!

and off-topic - holy c**p, gravity kills? they're more god-awful than i remember them being when i liked a song or two or theirs in 9th or 10th grade, wow i can't believe i bought that CD either! how embarrassing! anybody wanna buy a lightly used copy of that album? heh

I've got a Ultimate-Stand in my arsenal. mine's not the high-end fancy model like the one you hot-linked, but its still convenient for live setups. I like how easy they are to break down, and also how little room they take up storing.

I saw that new Apex stand at GC a couple weeks ago. That thing is HUGE!

I've got one of the original Apex columns from the late 80's. There used to be a company that sold covers/skins for them.

I just use the simple ProLine 400 stands from Guitar Center. They are in-expensive and pretty tough. Since I have lots of small controllers and stuff, I put some boards across them to hold my gear and it worked great. Actually, the 'boards' are the sides of off a set of hip height book shelves from Ikea that I don't use.

Here's a original Idea...
-a Keyboard stand mounted to a Segway ROFL!
talk about how interesting that would be to see live.

I could use a A-frame rack/stand in the studio..

I seem to remember Rammstein doing that on the Volkerball DVD.

I saw that stand in Sam Ash and it is actually very stable. Everything is adjustable, too. The height, angle, length of the arms, etc.

I really like the Jaspers stands. You can get a lot of equipment stacked up on a very small footprint.

Regular stand + aluminum tubing + hacksaw + drill + assorted hardware. Be creative.
Brains can be used like a "stress ball," but only once.
