are there any new analogue synthersizers

Post by *** » Thu Mar 25, 2010 4:16 pm

I was reading about the monotron and wondering if anyone actually makes analog synths anymore
are there any analog synths currently in production worth getting excited about?

(by the way I do know quite a few exist, it's just the majority of modern synths are not analogue)

Not really, unless you count DCOs as analogue.

Prior to the Monotron, the last analog synth was produced in 1969 (and before that, the last one was produced in 1961). So this is definitely a major, new development, and definitely worth getting excited about.

I heard the one in 1969 had chips in it though, so I'm not sure if it's technically "analog".
Do you even post on vse bro?

guys, don't be rude

Going a little bit off-topic, when the term "troll" began being so useful...?

I'm curious, just that....

....

My friend ***, there are a bunch of analog (voltage or digital controlled) synths nowadays. Just to give you an example, Mr DAVE SMITH offers a quite decent collection of analog synths, you can get a mophito for a very low price, or an Evolver around $400-500, or a Tetra for $800, and you can keep going until $2k and up. .....

Just type analog synth on www.ebay.com.

then, you get a list of synths with their pic. Click on them. If you like one, type it on youtube. You'll find some asshole's videos, and a few ones that in some way demostrate the power of the synth. but mostly you'll get terrible videos.

if you like one and is on production, go to the website, ask your father for his credit card, and then buy it.

:geek:
His sex dungeons are rumored to hold hundreds of people in secret locations around the world.

Yes. Synthesizers.com modular synths are pure analog. Monophonic, no presets, steeper learning curve, and impractical to haul around, but totally worth these "inconveniences." These synths are phat and allow for ultimate routing flexibility. The few modular companies like Synthesizers.com are the last of a dying analog breed.
