Crazy! I'll have to dig out that record and have a listen. That whole album is excellent; wish someone would put it back in print on CD.Syn303 wrote:Orange Juice - Rip It Up (supposedly a TB-303, but reported as being actually a Minimoog?)

One of my favorite FSOL songs featuring a 303 and not an acid track.

What a great track...nothing like old Plastikman from the 90's (including all of the current incarnations of Ritchie Hawtin).mute wrote:

yeah, Consumed is such an amazing album, and it has a sublte 303-usage (drenched in fx), that really makes it stand out. good example, no I dea why I didn't think about that, since it's one of my fave albums of all time

Re: 303 tracks that aren't acid
So may good tracks in this thread, thanks for posting them!
The Plastikman track blew my mind... I'd not heard any 'minimal techno' until a week or two ago when i saw that thread on Basic Channel. What a killer sound.

Nothing great but something I did for a VSEF contest that didn't quite get off the ground a while back, all sourced from an 808 and 303:

My own - Koncept(ual) 2 from August last year. Just 303, MD-UW and lots of FX.

Re: 303 tracks that aren't acid
fixed: You don't actually own a real 303, so you can't call a clone as such

woops, meant to write "303-SOUND"
yeah I don't own a 303, but I guess clones should count in this thread, no?

Death In June used it on at least two songs - "The Calling (Mk. II)" and "Born Again" from the Nada! LP.
