Just for the record.. that video's a multi-sampled production of what you can do with that box, right? It's one sound at a time?

Yes, that's correct. It's a multi-tracked production (as mentioned in the text in the video)

You'd require more than one pcb depending on how versatile you'd wanna make it. Thats the way it appears anyway...

if you are searching for diy drum machine there is something interesting:

http://www.ckmedia.pl/~jankomuzykant/n/ ... kant11.htm

webpage is in polish but this translator could help: http://www.translatica.pl/

it is digital lo fi drum synth (sampler) without sequencer.
Here is mp3 demo:

nice suggestions, the plish thing sounds very nice. unfortunatly i'm very bad at programming chip.
so far, i'm leaning toward the 9090 kit. harder to build but it's a full kit that, with the help of midi can work on his own. i wish paia or mfb could pride kits for drum machine.

the 9090 is not a full kit. All that Trevor sells is the 3 PCBs, EPROMs, and the PIC. You have to source everything else yourself. The Yahoo group is still active and has pretty much all you need to know info wise..
