Yeah, probably... But at least these martyr synths will go to a good place when they die: Analog Heaven. Unless of coarse they ARE some old DX7 or rompler, in which case they're going to Digital h**l regardless.
Do you even post on vse bro?

I bought a Roland TR-808 that came from a church, I bought a EPS-16plus from a church when they were basically new for a fraction of what it cost.

The notion that this could constitute any kind of theft of fraud is absurd. The pastor has internet access I'm sure. He could find out in seconds precisely what the keyboards are worth on the open market. If he lets 'em go cheap, more power to the OP.

Keep us informed!

I WOULD HAVE GONE TO THAT CHURCH

I wonder if they used it just for powerful bassdrum emphasis when the pastor raised his hands to the sky

Is this related to your synth find? Did someone just send out a memo to all the churches with synthesizer music ministries?

I got an 01/w Pro X from a church a couple months ago, for free. All I had to do was replace the display backlight, for $30. God is good!
Waveforms, and filters, and knobs. Oh my!

Guess it was something sweet, as the OP hasn't reported back yet what it was..

OK, I feel like a copmplete dork.

The good news is that there were actually four keyboards, not three.

The bad news is that the Roland is a "JV-something". I'm guessing it's a JV-80 or a JV-90. I would like it to be one of the rack, mount JV's but someone who doesn''t know anythign about synths probably would not even recognize them as such.

The other three are "Yamaha PSR- somthing or others".

Why would this idiot church lady say that all of the keyboards are "professional-looking instruments, not toys"?

Also, what happened to the one "with a lot of knobs on it"?

What is wrong with people? This is the same kind of morons who posts a POS home keyboard on Craigslist and price them as if they were real instruments!

Don't get me wrong, I love toy keyboards and I own several. In facy, i have told my friend that if they are giving them away an dhe doesn't want them i will take them,. I would actually like to have the Roland and play with it. I am sure I can find a use for some of its sounds.

I just hate when people don't know what they are talkign about and hype somethign up, causing me to hype it up . Now the whole internet thinks I'm stupid....

the higher end PSR models are quite powerful workstations, you might want to check those out.
