From the vermona website:
Extension
There’s a 25pin sub-D connector on the rear of the Mono Lancet. It extents the possibilities of the synthesizer enormously through numerous in- and outputs for control voltages and audio signals. PWM and filter input are just two of them.
So Vermona just confirmed some of the reasons for the extension port. it has PWM. I really want to know the size and some more info about the expander module as it could be a deal breaker. IMO with a decent CV expander this could be a really nice synth. It seems that it has a better feature set than the dark energy (noise, S/H, 2 VCOs).

Also Vermona says that PWM con be done via midi.

I listened to the samples and I have to say that I liked them a lot. The basic tone (which is the most important thing in a synth) of the synth sounds very good to me and the CV expansion will make it more versatile. Vermona will definitely receive my 450€.

I have to admit the tabletop-electro acts I've seen live didn't have any use for a keyboard :dj:

With MIDI keyboards so cheap it's not in these small mfrs' interest to build analog monos with keys. Look at the Mopho, adding keys doubled the price (ditto for the MEK) Meanwhile you can buy a 49-key M-Audio controller for under $100.

Besides only noobs don't own at least one MIDI keyboard already, eh? ;)
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

as an acid-house junkie whose going to be running sequenced acid lines into it, i think it sounds awesome. :D

love the look and form factor.

OT: I agreed with you, then thought about it.. the first videos on the tube are always SO BAD. "here's me plugging it in and using it for the FIRST TIME". Why the first time? Why not after an hour of learning it? Why not a montage of different good stuff instead of one pattern and you turn random knobs? grrr

They seam to be planning something , but tight lip'd for sure .
I think it could easily be a break out cable too they are planning , but that would have some limits ?

Still need to hear it played !
This and the sequenced demos from the site just are not giving me a feel for it's sound , though this one did go a bit more in than the latter .

So anyone find out anything new here about this little guy ?
I have written Vermona about doing a video or two and they respond as if they need a hollywood production time frame to do it in .

So besides hearing it in some real action I am kinda curious what the Seq / Trig switches are for ? Any guesses ?

bump to see if anyone has bought a Mono Lancet yet. I'm really thinking about getting one, but would like to read some reviews. I'm also concerned about tuning stability - will it hold it tuning through a live show?
