Keybed is out of the Ion, all 29 white keys are rinsed off and in a bowl. (Jeez guys, it was pretty dirty in there)

Have the oxyclean and hydrogen peroxide ready for tomorrow morning. I'll be soaking them all day; we'll see how it goes.

You can always go the Rit Dye route and make them any color you want :D
Not being a fan of the yellowing keys myself..I'd just go for the 'blacked out' look!

I mean just LOOK at that.
I have one of the fairly early serial number Ions that I got back in the summer of 2003 and the keys are still perfectly white but I also keep it covered when I'm not using it so maybe it is a UV exposure issue as you mentioned.

Any of you seen this - looks like it works rather well.

Yes, it works. If I recall correctly I just rinsed my Rogue´s wheels in H2O2 in a glass jar for several hours under direct sunlight. I think a UV lamp will work too according to the site.

Very nice! I'm gonna have to try this on my JP6's yellowed buttons and my SQ80's keys.

The keys won't stay upright in the solution, and I'm not noticing any changes after 5 hours. So far I'm not too sure.

I'll have a blacklight shining on it overnight if nothing happens by sunset.

It might be sensible to try first with just one button, until you´re sure it´s the correct solution and everything goes right.

It´s a slow process. I think it lasted two or three days each. The second wheel didn´t turn as white as the first ´cause I didn´t wait much longer or it started to rain. I posted the results on the Eletro-music forum a year ago.
