Monotron-R-US?
What's with the Korg Monotron? I don't get it. It looks like a toy instead of a serious musical instrument. Why would one of the biggest names in the history of synths come up with this thing that looks like a joke from Toys-R-Us? Am I missing something? What is the appeal of this thing? Any thoughts from those who have one?
Re: Monotron-R-US?
seeing that you call yourself "AnalogKid" and dont see the appeal of a modern, 100% analog synthesizer from Korg, I would says yes, you are missing something.
Re: Monotron-R-US?
Yeah, but what can you do with this analog synth? What's the appeal? Why buy one when it literally looks like a toy?
Re: Monotron-R-US?
The Casio SK-1 looks like a toy but I still use it. Infact it is a toy...
Haven't played with a Monotron, but if If it makes good sounds and is fun to use then why not?
