most I've paid was $400 for my Motif 6, but I really don't count that as a synth, so I figure it would have to be my P5, for the equivalent of $350 ($200 cash + plus a busted DX7 and Korg DW6000). The most I've paid for a keyboard, is $600 for my suitcase Rhodes piano.

My x0xb0x I reckon. Can't remember how much I paid for it though... would have been in the £350 to £450 area I think. The other stuff I've bought have all been under 350.

my mint sh-101 in box with grip, psu, manual - and I got that pretty cheap at 'only' just over £400. Ironic that it was the cheapest of probably all the synths in my sig when new. Most of my synths seem to come in around the £150 mark or less, inc the battery damaged polysixes (thankfully not much damage and easy fix in my case).

I did nearly drop £1100 on a Jupiter 6 not too long ago but thankfully changed my mind before doing it. I couldn't even imagine spending £5k on a jupiter 8!! madness. But if anyone else wants to buy me one, feel free :)

Holy price coup, Batman!!! =D> For me, $750 for the ASR, $450 for the M1. As far as "real" synths go, it's a tie between the JX-8P and the MicroKorg, at $250 each.

One of my local pawn shops has a Rhodes stage Seventy three for $600.00. I am so tempted to pick it up.

Clavier, I forgot to give you some props on the good deals you got. I am always glad to see people getting synths at good prices.

Thanks! Me too. Your gears scores are pretty sweet, so it means a lot coming from you. If you are a key player, I would go for that Rhodes. Go to fenderrhodes.com and find out how to check the build date, and buy a good one. Generally speaking, the earlier (like pre-76) ones have the more desirable sound/features. I play funk, jazz, soul, and pop on mine. Currently, the P5 resides on the top, so I can lay down some sick grooves.

I also have a Twin Reverb for it, (a combo I would recommend to anyone), but the suitcase, or another amp, like the Roland Jazz Chorus, Fender Princeton Chorus, or a Leslie all sound way good, too. It's a very versatile instrument.

Mine was a Nord Lead Classic... when it was just a Nord Lead, paid about £1200 after it had been out for a while and started to come down in price.

Back then I had no kids, no wife and lots of disposable income... oh how things change, I now have 2 kids, 1 wife and zero disposable income.

I just have to keep looking for the bargains which of course includes anything synth based regardless of cost!

:o What a love object. I really think, does it sounds as it looks?

Most expensive synthesizers. Well. Does it count when buying one synthesizer TWICE or TRIPLE ? Becouse if using it all together as one stacked synthesizer?

Still if I think then the most expensive one was Roland MKS-80 for 1200 GBP back on 2010. Becouse thats the only one
which is the most expensive one even when I stack together all other things as "one synthesizer".
Just after that I would count Roland MKS-70 And JX10 with PG800 as ONE synthesizer as these 2 cost 1000GBP total.

I will add the cheapest one, about which I am most thankful: MKS-50 and Yamaha TX802.

I paid 3,200 Deutschmarks for an ARP 2600 with 3620 LFO Keyboard Controller back in 1996. Even though it basically looked brand-new, I had to have my tech replace all jacks and connectors because they were badly corroded. At a later stage, I sank quite a lot of money into repairs and calibration work -- all worth it.
