Most of what WC Olo Garb does... but everyone likes him anyway. :)

But I particularly like his dissonant pad/ambient stuff.

This is one of my favorites. It's the Prophet 5 demo soundsheet (plastic Evatone record) from 1978. I think it's the Prophet 5 rev 2 that is used. There are two compositions - one by John Bowen, and a Bach piece played by Dan Wyman. Unfortunately, I heard this when it first came out (yes, I'm old).

The link to the mp3 is about 5 pages down on this page (it takes you to another page to download the file):

Great track! I love the pad from around 0:24 to 1:10, and the sequenced stuff from 2:30 to 3:10!

I took the liberty to repost the track like this:

Wow, that's some fantastic stuff! Looks like I've got 300-odd new synth tunes to check out now. :o

anyway, a group called Carbon Based from finland made a full track out of it and it was awesome deep banging hard trance..

I totally lost respect for them using a demo track's synth line but in terms of music, I think it's cool...

Hmm it's in the VSE database, clip 2 for virus B, about 1/4 through the clip.
Always liked that synth line too.

My favourite however is the second minimax demo on this page http://sonic-core.net/joomla.soniccore/ ... 28&lang=us

I think it's super-catchy.
