Here are 3 DX7 banks that Bobby Blues programmed from Keyboard Magazine patchsheets, the readers creations. In the first bank you will find 4 patches that were sent in by Paich & Porcaro of Toto! I don't know if these patches featured on the cards in question.

The patches are as follows:
24.PAICHPIPE
25.TOTO HMND1

There was a guy at the Yahoo group who offered the banks as SysEx in 2008, try and contact him:
http://launch.dir.groups.yahoo.com/grou ... ssage/7592
For the record here is the information on the Toto bank:
Name: TOTO
Labeled: KV-05
Producer: AViC Music, Inc. (1985/Japan)
Programmers: David Paich & Steve Porcaro
These voices are the same that were used live and in the studio on
the songs Roseanna, Africa, Fahrenheit, and 99 Voices.
The banks were from a company named AViC. Bobby Blues has all the information on these banks, and I will bet he has the bank himself.

From this patchlist it seems that the patches from Keyboard Magazine was indeed in the bank!

Hi guys! What an awesome find. Thanks a lot for uploading the patches. I'm a big fan of Toto and also love the DX7. Dave and Steve are great programmers and a lot can be learnt from their DX voice data.

I tried out a few banks in FM8.Calgonstudio wrote:When I get home I'll have to check the link out for the sounds, I love my DX7, Thanks
Mostly what you'd expect out of a DX7 bank from back in the day - a few variations of *that* bass, a few variations of *that* epiano, a few weak and static string patches, a bunch of plucky percussives of some variants of mallets, vibes and marimbas, some anemic brasses, those digital bells, some digital or wobbly synth sounds and pads, usually named after classic analog synths, and a handful of sounds with famous artists or song names alluded to.

Anyway, yeah it is the banks you were after - have fun!

I just found my Toto DX7 cartridge. Would anyone like to buy it before I put it on ebay?
