This would be one of my favorites. I love drum and bass, even though all the beats are practically the same.

It's still better then dubstep. :D

I LOVE this beat, i think the bass and snare drum come from one of Roger Linn's early drum machines, i love the cluster of 3 bass drums at the end of the first half of the pattern, it's so electronic and insistent.

Of course the fact it's been PROGRAMMED LIVE ON A MASSIVE SCREEN ON STAGE adds to the effect aswell, i think my jaw literally hit the floor!

The funky kraut rock song that would be sampled to death.

and this obscure band that none of you know about yet, for 1982 this is pretty intense drum programming.

Only about 50 seconds of this before something else mixed in but this a bad-a*s 808 work out.

Pearson Sound - Project

Can be heard better on the most recent Swamp 81 show on Rinse.

So so many to choose from, some that come to mind:

Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (Ashley Beedle Edit)

Skip to 1:17 to hear the beat on its own.

Absolute Classic!

Crazy track I've been introduced to lately, ahead of its time, f**k awesome synths too:

Heavy 808:

Latin Techno Vibe, (Not the greatest sound quality)

Not a drum machine but excellent beats, skip to 3:41 for the break:

This groove is pretty nasty. I've been trying to program that feel all day on the 707. I've got the pattern, but I'll be damned if I can nail that groove. What gives? What machine is that?
