Hi! I bought Korg Lambda three times. I'm addicted to those strings and pads.

Is NH New Hampshire? Where they are selling modulars there?meatballfulton wrote:I was online looking at the inventory of a local store and spotted a used dotcom cab about half-full of modules listed for $899.Hybrid88 wrote:$1000 is like OMG
Gotta get that under control my man
I drove up to see it, they had no idea how to make any sound with it other beyond patching the VCO into a guitar amp. I patched up a simple S&H -> VCF sound and their mouths fell open.
Total time spent in store before flashing the credit card was about 10 minutes...plus it was over the border in NH so no sales tax, either![]()
Why do you keep selling 'em? I'm most productive with a smallish setup, but I rotate things around pretty often. And have many small setups!

Re: What synth have you bought more than once?
might as well..
I sold my JP-8000 and later replaced it with a JP-8080.
I had a Prophecy, sold it and later bought a Z1 and sold it as well. Now I have them both again. keepers.
sold the SY35 and replaced it with the TG33
I've had two SP-808's and I'll probably buy one again in the near future.
and one of these days I'm going to buy a second V-Synth and have the keyboard and the rack.

Just bought a Wavestation SR again
. And I did have a Casio CZ1 in 1986. I sold that to fund my DX7S which I sold to get the DX7IID, then bought another Casio CZ1...only to sell it again

1. Phatty: first the LP Tribute, then the Stage for extra features but it arrived busted, and then the Slim.
2. Prophet 600: I thought the Poly-Evolver would cover my Prophety bases but I just missed the lush, aggressive fullness.

Re: What synth have you bought more than once?
Nord Micro Modular twice, eventually went with the Nord Modular keys which I still have (though having the Micro was nice for live sets).
DSI Evolver desktop x 2, both sold.
Waldorf Microwave XT x 2, both sold, ended up with a Blofeld.
MicroKorg x 2, both sold.
Korg Radias x 2 , actually had both at the same time, sold one to a friend and still have the other.
EMU MP-7 Command Station x 2 with expansion ROMs x 2, both sold.
Korg ER-1 x 3 actually love this box, first two times I owned it I just couldn't justify keeping it since I wasn't really involved in doing any rhythm based music (mostly noise and ambient) though I was always able to get great results out of it. third time I had just filed for bankruptcy and gave some gear away to friends thinking I'd be forced into selling anyway and it was one of the items which ended up in someone else's hands. long story short for those who may ask, qualified for chapter 7 and was able to keep what I still had.

I used to have two mono/poly's which I used in the same set-up, basically to facilitate quick changes within a song.
I let my wife sell one on ebay a few years back....a move i now regret, but at least I still have the other one.
I've also had 2 cs-01's one of which I still have.

Korg Poly 800.. but the 2nd time around I upgraded the firmware to support a trove of new features.
Upgrade is the HAWK 800 kit.
Additonal modding will be done too in the near future.

Ensoniq ESQ-1.
I have a later plastic case version that developed some problems with 1 or 2 CEM filter chips. I got an earlier metal case version with a bad display, rather than find replacement CEM 3379s. I just swapped the display from the plastic case to metal tank ESQ-1. Apparently the display is one of the few interchangeable parts between the two.

The Alesis Andromeda. I appreciate it a bit more now than I did back then. I still don't regret swapping the first one for a Minimoog D, though.
On the bare edge of synths: the Yamaha YC-45D combo organ. I've bought two, I've sold two due to space issues. I'd like another one. And more space.
On the not-synth-but-still-keyboard department: I think I've now gone through about six Clavinets, three Wurlitzers, five Rhodes, and two Hammonds. But that's all boring stuff.

Add the Alesis Ion to the list now... I'm not sure what else out there gives you this much bang for the buck. And the keys are actually still white on this one!
